Pipeline Corrosion Control & Coating

About This Project

This project involved the comprehensive corrosion control and protective coating of onshore pipeline sections and associated storage tanks. The scope included mechanical surface preparation, grit and sand blasting to Sa 2.5 standard, application of anti-corrosion primer coats, intermediate coats, and finish coats in accordance with client specifications. Cathodic protection systems were also installed and tested on sections of the pipeline.

Work Process

• Site Assessment & Scope Review

  Detailed site inspection to assess existing corrosion levels, define scope of surface preparation, coating system selection, and establish HSE protocols.

• HSE Planning & Resource Mobilization

  Job hazard analysis, toolbox talks, and mobilization of blasting equipment, compressors, and protective coating materials to site.

• Technical Execution & Quality Control

  Execution of grit blasting, primer application, and finish coats with continuous DFT checks and holiday detection testing per specification.

• Completion Reporting & Client Handover

  Final inspection, coating test documentation, cathodic protection test records, and handover report delivered to the client.
